Hi, I’m Aaron Patterson, this is my wife Ally. We’re from Des Moines, Iowa.
[Lori] All right, and Aaron, what brought you in to The Functional Neurology Center?
This all stems back to almost seventeen years ago. More than a handful of concussions, sport related and just progressively as life got harder and family and just everything just kind of progressed into more and more issues. So, I kind of exhausted all options, so we thought, and uh here we are and finally there’s a little bit of hope so.
[Lori] All right, Ally can you speak to his symptoms at all that he had prior to coming in.
Main symptoms where brain fog, cognitive issues, anxiety, head pressure constantly. – Sleep. – Sleep issues. – Yeah. – Yep.
[Lori] And tell us about your week here?
This was very interesting, I didn’t know what to expect coming into it. But, the staff, everybody’s very friendly, very genuine, it made it a lot of fun. So, it was enjoyable.
[Lori] And what changes have you two noticed this week so far?
Biggest thing has been, I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have brain fog, I’m starting to think a little clearer and for me that’s the biggest win.
[Lori] Excellent, anything else you’d like to add?
I’d just say, you know, after such a long time of just feeling kinda hopeless a little bit. Don’t give up, biggest thing is to have your biggest advocate next to you. So, find someone to support you and kinda carry you forward. But, invest in yourself, because that’s the best thing you can do.
[Lori] Thanks Aaron and Ally it’s been a pleasure having you in this week.
